Hihihi...Gelak dulu ea..Baru taip..
Teringat time buat praktikal kat Kolej 15, UPM.
Poyo jer nak upload full report FYP dalam blog ni. Tapi apa jadi??
Nan Hado!!!
ni la full report aku..okey x????
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of Industrial Training
Industrial training (MAT 699) is one of the requirements in completing the program
of BSc. (Hons) in Computational Mathematics. The student who has successfully
completed their six semester in this program must undergo an industrial training for a
period of one semester, where, they will be attached to any company or organization
preferably.
During the attachment, student is expected to conform to the organizations professional standards of performance, work ethics and undertake the duties and the responsibilities assigned. The task given by the organization should not be of repetition of simple work as it is hoped that industrial training will be able to contribute towards transfer of technology, skills, and knowledge and thus enhance the development of the human capital development philosophy.
On completion the industrial training, student will have to submit report and make their work to the academic members of the faculty on what he/she has done during the industrial training.
Between 12th Sept and 6 Jan 2012, I have been attached to the Pejabat Kolej Lima Belas, Universiti Putra Malaysia and was supervised by Dr. Fatimah Bt Sidi. She is the lecturer Faculty of Science Computer and Information Technology and also K15’s principal.
1.2 Background of Organization
1.2.1 Background of Department of Science Computer, Faculty of
Science Computer and Information Technology
The Department of Computer Science aims to enhance the state of research and practice in three major fields, namely, database, intelligent computing and information security. It is a fast growing department with an inspiring undergraduate academic programme and an outstanding research record.
The department is committed in spearheading world class higher education in computing technology and in producing skilled and able graduates to fulfill the dynamic needs of Malaysia. The department has experienced friendly and a vibrant community of academic staff ready to guides students in their path towards excellence.
The department offers the Bachelor of Computer Science (Computer System) programme. This programme aims to produce graduates who have sound knowledge architecture, software, application design and development. The objectives of the programme are to:
i. Produce graduates who are highly-knowledgeable in the theoretical as well as practical aspects of computer systems, especially problem-solving, data management and computer security to fulfil the needs of the country,
ii. Produce computer professionals who are refined and highly ethical and,
iii. Provide graduates with the knowledge and skills to do research and further study.
Even though computer system covers both hardware and software, this programme focuses on the development of software skills, particularly on database system, intelligent computing and information security. Equal attention is also given to computer software design and development, and its application in information processing.
Study on computer architecture provides fundamental understanding on the physical structure of computer, computer components and computer functions. This understanding is very important so that the computer could be utilized as a powerful tool to store and process information. Notation or formalism of information would first be prepared before the processing of the information. This should reflect the information structure and the dedicated processing flow, which leads to the development of software applications that reflect the data structure, algorithm and programming approach needed.
In the real world, computer applications are complex and challenging in their delivery. Therefore, certain algorithm needs to be produced and applied. Furthermore, the vast amount of information to be managed requires knowledge on information management, database administration and information security. In addition, problem-solving alternatives using artificial intelligence, system modeling and simulation, and calculation theories are covered to complete students’ information management skills.
1.3 Background of Department Attached
I was attached to the Pejabat Kolej Lima Belas, Universiti Putra Malaysia. This department is headed by my supervisor, Dr Fatimah Sidi as a principal of Kolej Lima Belas. The organization chart of the department is shown as attached in Appendix A.
Pejabat Kolej Lima Belas are responsibles to manage, coordinate and monitor all activities, accommodation and welfare of students lived in Kolej Lima Belas. In addition, this department is also responsible to registration the new student that admission to UPM. Pejabat Kolej Lima Belas also need to ensure that each students life in comfortable and harmony.
1.3.1 Vision of Kolej Lima Belas
i. To produce skilled of residents, skilled knowledgeable and well able to lead in the future,
ii. Provide students who are able to adapt the careers environment,
iii. To produce college-minded people and have a positive attitude.
1.3.2 Mission of Kolej Lima Belas
i. Develop a college and student management who are efficient and steady in all aspect,
ii. Generate idea and energy contributions to the development of college and university,
